Here’s a little introduction to the woman behind the lens for Modern Soul. My name is Emily and I am a mother of 2 kids and wife to a police officer. I work full time during the week as a loan underwriter at a credit union and on the weekends get to live my dream as photographer! Photography has always been something I’ve wanted to pursue but life always seemed to direct me down a different path.
In 2017 I decided enough with putting creativity on the back burner and dove in! If it isn’t a weekend at the lake I am out photographing some of the most amazing couples, families and kids around!
Take the time to make sure your photographer fits your personality and style so you receive pictures you will love for a lifetime. I love to take the time to get to know you instead of rushing through. I want you to feel comfortable and be happy with the outcome of your pictures. Not every session is the same, Not every couple is the same and I play off your own personal style when I suggest poses and also when I am editing your pictures. I love dramatic and love being playful just as much so expect a fun loving photographer in me!
I play off natural beauty in a photo shoot so please don’t expect photoshopped pictures. I can always make some adjustments but understand my style is natural and unique to each session. I feel blessed to have the opportunity I do to meet new people and create photographs that will last a lifetime!
